Ingredients

  • 3 unpeeled pears, core removed, cubed
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) grated fresh ginger
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) whole-wheat flour
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) rolled oats
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) unpressed brown sugar
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) soft, non-hydrogenated margarine

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine pears, chocolate chips, ginger and 15 ml (1 tbsp.) flour.
  3. Divide mixture among 6 individual ramekins.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix remaining flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and margarine until moistened and sticks together under finger pressure.
  5. Divide mixture between 6 ramekins.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool and serve.
