Ingredients
- 175 mL (3/4 cup) whole-wheat flour
- 175 mL (3/4 cup) oatmeal
- 125 mL (1/2 cup) bran cereal (All-Bran type)
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) sugar
- 2 mL (1/2 tsp.) baking powder
- 2 mL (1/2 tsp.) cinnamon
- 175 mL (3/4 cup) dried raisins
- 30 mL (2 tbsp) canola oil
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) honey
- 1 egg, whole
- 2 mL (1/2 tsp.) vanilla extract
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, oatmeal, bran cereals, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and dried raisins. In a small bowl, combine the oil, honey, egg and vanilla.
- Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a 20-cm (8-inch) square pan, sprayed with vegetable spray.
- Flatten the preparation by pressing firmly with a fork (if necessary, lightly wet your utensil).
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until the surface of the mixture is lightly browned.
- Let cool, then cut into 20 pieces.
