Ingredients

  • 175 mL (3/4 cup) whole-wheat flour
  • 175 mL (3/4 cup) oatmeal
  • 125 mL (1/2 cup) bran cereal (All-Bran type)
  • 60 mL (1/4 cup) sugar
  • 2 mL (1/2 tsp.) baking powder
  • 2 mL (1/2 tsp.) cinnamon
  • 175 mL (3/4 cup) dried raisins
  • 30 mL (2 tbsp) canola oil
  • 60 mL (1/4 cup) honey
  • 1 egg, whole
  • 2 mL (1/2 tsp.) vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, oatmeal, bran cereals, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and dried raisins. In a small bowl, combine the oil, honey, egg and vanilla.
  3. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 20-cm (8-inch) square pan, sprayed with vegetable spray.
  5. Flatten the preparation by pressing firmly with a fork (if necessary, lightly wet your utensil).
  6. Bake in the middle of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until the surface of the mixture is lightly browned.
  7. Let cool, then cut into 20 pieces.
