Ingredients
- 2 large oranges
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) honey
- ½ split vanilla bean or 2.5 ml (½ teaspoon) vanilla extract
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) fennel seeds
Dressage
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) pistachios, chopped
- A few mint leaves
Preparation
- Peel the oranges, cut into slices and remove all the seeds. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, heat the honey, vanilla, cinnamon and fennel seeds for about 5 minutes or until the honey is fragrant and syrupy. Remove the vanilla bean and cinnamon stick. Strain the syrup through a sieve.
- Dressage
- Place the orange slices on a serving plate. Drizzle the warm honey syrup over the oranges and garnish with pistachios and mint leaves.
