Ingredients

  • 2 large oranges
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) honey
  • ½ split vanilla bean or 2.5 ml (½ teaspoon) vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) fennel seeds

Dressage

  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) pistachios, chopped
  • A few mint leaves

Preparation

  1. Peel the oranges, cut into slices and remove all the seeds. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, heat the honey, vanilla, cinnamon and fennel seeds for about 5 minutes or until the honey is fragrant and syrupy. Remove the vanilla bean and cinnamon stick. Strain the syrup through a sieve.
  3. Dressage
  4. Place the orange slices on a serving plate. Drizzle the warm honey syrup over the oranges and garnish with pistachios and mint leaves.
