The Professional Council of Diabetes Québec (PCDQ)
Created in 1979, the Professional Council of Diabetes Québec (PCDQ) currently numbers more than 1,500 health professionals working in the diabetes sector: physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, and others. The role of the PCDQ is to provide diabetes expertise to the Association. The Council is called upon for expert advice on all aspects of diabetes, from prevention and treatment to education and support.
Some Council members sit on committees tasked with developing treatment and dietary guidelines for people with diabetes.
Each year, the PCDQ organizes a convention on various topics related to diabetes. Hundreds of health professionals attend these conventions where they gain new knowledge to help them in their clinical practices. Eminent endocrinologists and other health professionals specialized in diabetes, as well as the Association’s grant recipients, are among the invited convention attendees.
The Council president is Dr. Jean-Marie Ékoé, Endocrinologist.
Health professionals, become a member of the PCDQ.
