{"id":27682,"date":"2015-12-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-12-17T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/en\/diabetes\/diabetes-management\/recipes\/granite-citron-camomille-fraises-et-fromage-blanc\/"},"modified":"2023-05-29T17:27:38","modified_gmt":"2023-05-29T21:27:38","slug":"lemon-chamomile-strawberry-and-fromage-blanc-granita","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/en\/diabetes\/diabetes-management\/recipes\/lemon-chamomile-strawberry-and-fromage-blanc-granita\/","title":{"rendered":"Lemon chamomile, strawberry and fromage blanc granita"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\" block-background theme-block theme-block--innerblock alignfull bg-color--grey bottom-concave red-sun-left\" >\n\n  <span class=\"theme-block__label\">Section with background<\/span>\n  \n      <div class=\"background-img\">\n      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/wp-content\/themes\/diabete.qc.ca\/dist\/images\/block-background\/red-sun-left.svg\" alt=\"\">\n    <\/div>\n  \n  \n    \n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column has-white-background-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lemon chamomile granita<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>500 ml (2 cups) water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zest of one lemon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30 ml (2 tablespoons) dried chamomile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>45 ml (3 tablespoons) honey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>45 ml (3 tablespoons) lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>White cheese with honey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>250 ml (1 cup) quark-type fromage frais<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30 ml (2 tablespoons) honey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dressing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>20 strawberries, quartered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zest of one lemon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column has-grey-300-background-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Lemon chamomile granita<\/strong> (prepare 12 hours in avance)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a saucepan, bring the water to the boil with the lemon zest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove from the heat, add the chamomile, cover and leave to infuse for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strain the infusion, add the honey and mix well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add lemon juice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour into a container, close tightly and freeze for at least 12 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The granita will keep for 1 month in the freezer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>White cheese with honey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a bowl, combine the cottage cheese and honey.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dressing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Using a pastry bag or spoon, fill 4 bowls with fromage blanc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Top with strawberry wedges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using a fork, scrape the surface of the granita to form large crystals and place 30 ml (2 tablespoons) on each dessert.
