{"id":24579,"date":"2021-08-20T15:56:44","date_gmt":"2021-08-20T19:56:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/en\/news\/changement-de-couverture-de-linsuline-humalog-100-u-ml-par-la-ramq\/"},"modified":"2023-05-30T14:19:41","modified_gmt":"2023-05-30T18:19:41","slug":"change-in-ramq-coverage-of-humalog-100-u-ml-insulin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/en\/news\/change-in-ramq-coverage-of-humalog-100-u-ml-insulin\/","title":{"rendered":"Change in RAMQ coverage of Humalog 100 U\/mL insulin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The R\u00e9gie de l&#8217;assurance maladie du Qu\u00e9bec (RAMQ) issued a notice on March 3, 2021 announcing the end of insurance coverage for Humalog 100 U\/ml insulin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From now on, any new patient covered by the R\u00e9gie de l&#8217;assurance maladie du Qu\u00e9bec (RAMQ) who is prescribed insulin lispro 100 U\/ml will begin treatment with Admelog\u00ae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Admelog\u00ae and Admelog\u00ae SoloStar\u00ae (Sanofi) are biosimilars to insulin lispro injection, whose reference products are Humalog\u00ae and Humalog\u00ae KwikPen? Learn more about biosimilar insulins <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramq.gouv.qc.ca\/SiteCollectionDocuments\/professionnels\/infolettres\/2021\/info333-20.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who started treatment with Humalog 100 U\/ml and received reimbursement from the RAMQ or a private insurer before March 3, 2021 will continue treatment with Humalog 100 U\/ml until April 13, 2022.
