{"id":38327,"date":"2026-07-01T08:45:39","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T12:45:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/?page_id=38327"},"modified":"2026-07-01T08:59:03","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T12:59:03","slug":"call-for-participants-living-with-latent-autoimmune-diabetes-in-adults-lada","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/en\/call-for-participants-living-with-latent-autoimmune-diabetes-in-adults-lada\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Participants Living with Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>WHO<\/strong> \u2013 Are you an adult (18 years of age or older) living with a diagnosis of latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) and residing in Canada?<br>The CHUM (Centre hospitalier de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al) invites you to participate in a research project aimed at better understanding LADA diagnosis and care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If you have already completed a questionnaire as part of the BETTER registry, this project aims to seek to further explore LADA-specific aspects. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WHAT \u2013 Your Role<\/strong><br>This research project aims to evaluate factors contributing to delays in LADA diagnosis and their impact on quality of life and diabetes-related complications.<br>Participation involves completing an <strong>online questionnaire<\/strong> about your diagnostic journey, including timing of diagnosis, diagnostic tests, treatments received, and any complications or comorbidities.<br>Some individuals residing in Qu\u00e9bec may be contacted to participate in a confidential online individual interview to further explore their experience.
