How to become a member of Diabetes Québec?

We have two types of membership, with different benefits. Choose the one that matches your situation.

For Individual members: people with diabetes or their family members

For $20 per year, you get the following benefits:

• A one-year subscription to PLEIN SOLEIL (four issues)—available in FRENCH only
• Substantial discounts on subscriptions to various journals and magazines through our arrangement with Campus Discount;
• Access to the IRIS Advantage program from IRIS The Visual Group;
• Reduced prices on books and other materials sold by Diabetes Québec;
• Membership in one of our affiliated associations, which gives you access to their activities and services;
• A wallet-size membership card for keeping your medical information handy.

Note: Membership and renewal fees do not qualify for a tax receipt.

For health professionals:

For $35 per year, you get the following benefits:

• A one-year subscription to PLEIN SOLEIL (four issues) - available in FRENCH only;
• Substantial discounts on subscriptions to various journals and magazines through our arrangement with Campus Discount;
• Access to the IRIS Advantage program from IRIS The Visual Group;
• Reduced prices on books and other materials sold by Diabetes Québec;
• Membership in the Professional Council of Diabetes Québec;
• The opportunity to participate in our annual conference and scientific training days; 
• Access to Diabetaide training programs - offered in FRENCH only;
• Diabetes Québec’s quarterly professional newsletter - available in FRENCH only.

Gift membership

Encourage and support someone suffering from diabetes with a one-year $20 gift membership. We will send them a letter on your behalf, and they will enjoy all the benefits of an Individual membership.

Circle of Friends

When you join the Circle of Friends, you will be:

• Continuously involved in supporting Diabetes Québec in its fight against diabetes;
• Helping Diabetes Québec fulfill its mission;
• Helping reduce our administrative costs so we can offer even more services.

In addition to the specific benefits of your type of membership (Individual or Health Professional), as a Circle of Friends member, you will:

• Be notified about all major news relating to new medications and the results of our political lobbying efforts;
• Appear on the annual honour roll in our magazine Plein Soleil and on our website;
• Receive an annual tax receipt for the amount of your donation;
• Never be solicited or receive another membership renewal notice.

To join our Circle of Friends, simply make an automatic monthly contribution (by pre-authorized debit or credit card payment). Your monthly contribution includes your annual Diabetes Québec membership ($20 for Individual membership; $35 for a Health Professional membership). The residual amount will be considered a donation, for which you will receive a tax receipt.
